Dozy Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

Dozy (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a sleep and nap companion that reads your sleep data from Apple Health to estimate sleep debt, recommend nap windows, and measure restorative sleep. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data Dozy uses, how it is handled, and the choices you have.

The short version

Health data we read

With your permission, Dozy reads the following from Apple Health:

Dozy requests this access through Apple’s HealthKit permission prompt. You can grant or deny it, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Dozy.

Health data we write

With your permission, Dozy writes the following to Apple Health:

Dozy only writes naps you actively start and complete in the app. You can review or delete this data at any time in the Apple Health app under the Dozy source.

How your data is used

All calculations — sleep debt, nap recommendations, and restorative sleep — happen locally on your device. Your health data is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We do not operate servers that receive your health information.

Account information

If you choose to sign in with Apple, Dozy stores the identifier Apple provides, along with your name and email if you choose to share them, locally on your device to maintain your session. This information is not transmitted to us.

Data sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your health data or personal information with anyone. Dozy contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that access your health data.

Children’s privacy

Dozy is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
